Hi, I am Dr. Reetika Garg - Founder and Designer at The Oriki, Boutique Jewellery. My aim with Oriki is to create vintage-inspired enduring fine jewellery that brings together my passion for carefully handcrafted exquisite creations. The founding ideas at Oriki are two-fold, witnessing the change in lifestyle and connecting heritage with modern essence.
Aside from being a business owner, I am an educationist a professional in the field of Management & Personal Development. I have around 9 years of experience in the field of academics and the corporate world.
Growing up, I did my schooling from Meerut and graduated from Bansthali Vidyapith(Raj).
I was selected and nominated for a Master's at the Prestigious SNDT University, Mumbai. I also pursued my MBA from SVPITM, Coimbatore, and attained my Doctorate from Bansthali Vidyapith.
I have had the opportunity to have vast experience in the field of Education and Administrative Management. I have been a faculty at Institutes/Universities at Pune, Ferozepur, Bansthali, and Jalandhar. Moreover, I am a proud Army wife associated with the elite organization for more than a decade and blessed with a charming daughter.
Talking about the work I have been involved in, I had the opportunity to be instrumental in the inculcation and enhancement of various skills among the ladies of the organization by counseling them to tackle hardships and responsibilities they go through. I am available for the same at the below-mentioned Instagram link, and I thoroughly enjoy being able to help out these women.
As much of a success and blessing being a business owner has been, it has come along with its fair share of challenges. In my opinion, the biggest challenge during the initial journey Of Oriki was identifying the right craftsmen (Kaarigar) for the job, as they are the key to putting your imagination into reality. . The second major challenge has been to find and target the right customer and reaching out to them. I am also still battling the issue and gradually gaining trust for genuine natural gemstones and freshwater pearls.
Lastly, I believe that anyone who aspires to have their entrepreneurial journey should first start believing in themselves and hold on to the castle for a minimum of 3 years. It is believed in marketing that every business at least take 1000 days to show up their wings to fly in the market, and I am sure that if as women we stand together, helping each other out, even the sky is not a limit!
